As a filmmaker and editor, Rudi Gohl has worked on a wide range of projects, including documentaries, music videos, shorts, and feature films. He has collaborated on productions of all levels—both during production and in post—for the past four years. In 2023, he was part of the production team for Sean Baker’s Anora (2024), a historic Best Picture and Palme d’Or winner.

Rudi went on to work at the acclaimed documentary company Show of Force as an Assistant Editor and Technical Coordinator, contributing to projects such as the Hulu series Never Let Him Go (2023), the PBS film Vice Presidents (2024), the series Iconic America (2023), and the company’s unreleased documentary This Is a Film About The Black Keys (2024). He has also directed, shot, and edited two of his own documentaries.

His first project, Barbara Hunter: A Life in PR (2019), told the story of his grandmother—a major figure in the American public relations industry and, along with her sister, the first woman to run a U.S. public relations firm. Rudi later collaborated with the New York–based theater company Phoenix Theatre Ensemble on the documentary What Happened to Jackson Avenue (2023), a heart-wrenching tale of urban renewal in the town of Nyack, NY, told by those who experienced it firsthand. The film went on to win several awards, including an Impact DOC Award.

Rudi continues to work with friends and colleagues on exciting projects, both narrative and documentary. He is always looking to help others achieve their vision and elevate the voices of artists and activists alike.
